West Hartford Teen Shot In Hartford Sunday Has Died: Police
Hartford police continue to investigate the fatal shooting of the 17-year-old high school senior as a second victim remains hospitalized.
HARTFORD, CT — A 17-year-old West Hartford resident has died after being shot early Sunday morning on Ann Street, and Hartford police are investigating the case as a homicide.
According to the Hartford Police Department Tuesday, patrol officers were proactively monitoring the Ann Street area around 1:49 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, when they heard gunfire.
Officers responded immediately and found an unresponsive gunshot victim.

The teen, identified as Camden Siegel, 17, of West Hartford, was taken to a nearby hospital and initially listed in "extremely critical condition."
While officers were still at the scene, a second gunshot victim — a man in his 20s — arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. Police said he remains in critical but stable condition.

On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Siegel succumbed to his injuries, police said.
West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Paul Vicinus said earlier this week the 17-year-old male victim was a Hall High School senior, with other West Hartford students present as well.
The department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions responded to the shooting and have assumed the investigation. Authorities said the case remains active and ongoing.
