Youth Ensemble for A Christmas Carol–A Ghost Story of Christmas
Twenty-eight Connecticut children cast in youth ensemble for A Christmas Carol–A Ghost Story of Christmas at Hartford Stage

Hartford, CT – Twenty-eight children from across Connecticut have been cast in the youth ensemble for the 22nd season of A Christmas Carol–A Ghost Story of Christmas at Hartford Stage. The beloved holiday family favorite will run Friday, November 29, through Saturday, December 28.
Over the past 21 years, Connecticut families have been thrilled by Charles Dickens’ ghostly, heartwarming tale of redemption, which introduced the exclamation “Bah! Humbug!” and popularized the perennial greeting “Merry Christmas.”
Adapted and originally directed by former Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson, A Christmas Carol–A Ghost Story of Christmas is directed by Hartford Stage Artistic Associate Rachel Alderman (Cry it Out).

“We are thrilled to welcome this talented group of actors to our ensemble this season. Their passion for performing will delight even the crankiest of Scrooges in your lives,” Alderman said. “One of the best parts of my job is to watch these kids grow into their roles each year…they even manage to teach the adult actors a thing or two as we become one big holiday family.”
Samuel Grear, 6, from Bloomfield, and Benjamin O’Brien, 8, from Marlborough, will play Tiny Tim in alternating performances.
