Boil Water Advisory Issued For Some Gales Ferry Residents
A boil-water advisory was issued for Gales Ferry Southern Connecticut Water Authority customers after a Monday night water main break.

GALES FERRY, CT—A boil-water order was issued for some Gales Ferry Southern Connecticut Water Authority customers after a Monday night water main break, according to the Ledge Light Health District.
The health department reported that water authority crews were "on site within an hour and the break was repaired within two hours." But, Ledge Light says, "as a precaution SCWA is issuing a boil water advisory to all customers in the Gales Ferry Tower Division until water samples can be collected and we can verify there was no contamination during the water outage."
Ledyard Police responded to the break in the area of the East Drive recreation field in Gales Ferry. The Gales Ferry water customers affected include the Pheasant Run and sections of Long Cove Road.
