Participant will make one small handbuilding project and one wheel thrown vessel. Choose your glaze and items will be ready for pick-up 3 weeks after event is held. Come on your own or bring a friend! Sip and Spins require at least 4 participants to run. One night event. Participants can BYOB and small snacks. Ages 21+ event. Register online.

Finally, learn to how to finish work by burnishing, under glazing, or glazing. Adults ages 18+. 4 Mondays in July, must sign up for all 4. Register online.

The 23rd Annual Sunflowers for Wishes at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold will be in full bloom from July 18-26!
More than 300,000 sunflowers are expected to bloom this year and will be available for purchase! Cut your own stems for $3 per flower and make a beautiful bouquet to take home, and 100% of the proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish® Connecticut&nbsp;to create wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. Thanks to the Buttons, countless wishes have been granted and more than $2 million has been donated enough to grant over 194 wishes.

And don’t forget to purchase one of Buttonwood’s own famous sunflower ice cream cones, made right there on the farm!

In this 2 hour workshop, get creative with clay as you design and build a fruit bowl statement piece. Students will begin by constructing a large slab bowl, then personalize it by cutting out fun shapes and patterns using freehand techniques or a variety of cookie cutters. Whether you love bold designs, nature-inspired motifs, or geometric patterns, your bowl will be completely one of a kind. Once your masterpiece is finished, choose your glaze color and we'll professionally glaze and fire it for a beautiful, food-safe finish. No experience is needed, beginners are all welcome! Your finished piece will be ready for pickup 3 weeks after the event. Ages 18+. Register online.

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse.
