Iconic Hollywood Restaurant To Open Foxwoods Location
A swanky establishment frequented by celebrities is charting an opening at Foxwoods.
MASHANTUCKET, CT β New restaurant Yamashiro promises to bring "over a century of Hollywood history" to Foxwoods Resort Casino. The restaurant is listed as coming soon on the Foxwoods website.
The original Yamashiro, which translates as "mountain place" in Japanese, was founded in Los Angeles in 1914. The Hollywood Hills establishment was intended to be a replica of a palace found in the provincial mountains near Kyoto, according to Yamashiro's website.
The Foxwoods location will be led by Chef Charbel Hayek, with a menu that "reimagines Japanese-inspired cuisine, blending tradition with modern innovation to create a dining experience that is both artful and unforgettable."

The restaurant will have outdoor terraces that offer views over Fox Tower Pool as well as DJs and curated music on Friday and Saturday nights.

Just like the original establishment, Yamashiro at Foxwoods will feature an iconic decor style across its 10,000 square-foot space, including koi ponds and bonsai hanging from the ceiling and fireplaces, MassLive reported.
The Los Angeles location is known for hosting top celebrities including Marilyn Monroe, Howard Hughes, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Johnny Depp, according to Forbes. It's also where the film "Kill Bill" was shot.
Yamashiro has another restaurant in Miami, which opened last year.
Visitors at Foxwoods can look forward to the opening of Martha Stewart's The Bedford this spring as well.
