Estate planning is important for anyone, regardless of income or retirement status. More than 50 percent of Americans die without leaving a will. That can negatively affect your family. Without a will the laws of the state determine what happens to your estate.  So when you consider retirement planning it’s a good idea to consider how best to protect and pass on your estate. Estate planning allows you to choose who will receive your assets and when they’ll receive them. The simplest form of estate planning is a will.
