2 New Coronavirus Cases In Madison Schools

Monday three tested positive at the high school, Tuesday one at Jeffrey Elementary School and Wednesday, another at the grade school.

MADISON, CT — Tuesday school officials announced a positive COVID-19 test was reported at Jeffrey Elementary School. Wednesday, the district said it learned that another "member of the Jeffrey Elementary School community" has also tested positive for COVID-19. Monday, three from Daniel Hand High School tested positive.

In all cases, the requisite contract tracing is either underway or completed and those in close contact told to quarantine for two weeks. The people with the disease are to remain at home in isolation for 10 days.

Schools interim superintendent JeanAnn Paddyfoote said that schools will remain open.
