Sacrifices you make now will prevent you from making bigger sacrifices when you’re older. Think of the smaller sacrifices of eating out less often now and skipping one movie a month and compare that to having to choose between two medicines you need later in life because you can only afford one of them. No matter what your age, it’s important to start saving for retirement. Saving at a younger age helps create the saving habit and it means you will need to give a smaller percentage of your income to retirement each month.

Free up money. Write your commitment to at least one action you will take today to reduce your unnecessary monthly expenses by at least $100 per month.
