3 Madison Public Schools Announce Schedule Change for Tuesday
Temps are expected to exceed 90 degrees on Tuesday.

From the Madison Public Schools:
Good evening,
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but our three elementary schools (Jeffrey, Ryerson, and Island) will be dismissing early tomorrow, Tuesday September 8, at 1:00 due to the extreme heat conditions forecasted for the region. The after care programs will run normal hours, but will begin at 1:00, for all families who use this service. They will be moved to air-conditioned locations in the buildings.
There were a number of heat related medical concerns reported from our health offices last week when temperatures reached the upper 80s in some elementary classrooms. There are far fewer air-conditioned rooms at our elementary schools, compared to Polson Middle School, to accommodate the movement of students into these cooler locations throughout the day. Nearly one-half of Polson is air-conditioned. Brown Middle School and Daniel Hand High School are fully air-conditioned.
