Assessment Appeal Requests In Madison Accepted In February

The town completed its revaluation in December.

MADISON, CT — The town completed its property revaluation in December, but residents who still want to appeal their assessment must do so in writing between Feb. 1 and Feb. 20, according to First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons.

The forms to file an appeal will be available by the end of January online at https://www.madisonct.org/assessment-appeals and in the Assessor’s Office.

"Individuals who have completed and filed a timely Petition form will be granted a hearing before the Board of Assessment Appeals," Lyons wrote in a Community Update. "If an agent represents you, a Notarized Agent Form must be on file with your petition or brought to your hearing. This is the time to present any and all evidence supporting your estimate of Fair Market Value."
