Down the Lane Farm will host Farm Day on October 24 from 10 AM to 4 PM, welcoming the community for a fun fall day on the farm with activities, local products, and expert gardening guidance.
Guests will have the unique opportunity to learn about honey bees, taste local honey and jams, shop homegrown herbs, spices and baked goods, and sign up for classes on how to prepare and use these products. Our friends from Running Brook Farms on Route 81 in Killingworth will also be on site to share expert tips on pollinator-friendly plants, including what to grow and when to plant for a thriving garden.
Farm Day is designed as a welcoming seasonal outing for families, friends, gardeners, honey enthusiasts, and anyone looking to enjoy the sights, tastes, and traditions of fall on the farm.
Event Details: Farm Day will take place October 24 from 10 AM to 4 PM at Down the Lane Farm, 18 Reservoir Road, Killingworth. Vista Life Innovations invites community members, families, friends and supporters to lace up their walking shoes for the annual WALK for Vista!, taking place Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Vista’s Madison Campus, 107 Bradley Road.
The annual fundraiser brings together nearly 300 participants, including Vista students and members, their families, staff, community partners and supporters, for a three-mile walk through downtown Madison and along Connecticut’s scenic shoreline.
Check-in and walk-in registration begin at 9:00 a.m., with morning refreshments available before the WALK steps off at 10:00 a.m., led by the Lancraft Fife and Drum Corps.
More than a fundraiser, WALK for Vista! is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of Vista’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve personal success, greater independence and a true sense of belonging.
Net proceeds from WALK for Vista! support Vista’s mission and help provide the training, resources, opportunities and support that empower Vista students and members throughout their lives.&nbsp;
Participants can register individually, create or join a team, fundraise, or make a donation in support of the event.
