The Barn Announces Grant Award

The Fy22 General Operating Support Grant \ for theaters and performing groups and The FY22 Supporting Arts Grant Given to help The Barn.

The Barn is happy to announce that it has been awarded two grants. One from the FY22 General Operating Support Grant \ for theaters and performing groups, as well as the FY22 Supporting Arts Grant. Both awards were through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal Agency.

The Connecticut office of the Arts (COA) is the state agency charged with fostering the health of Connecticut’s creative economy. Part of the state's Department of Economic and Community Development, the COA is funded by the State of Connecticut as well as receiving support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal Agency.

The Barn feels that now is more important than ever to have programs available to our youth as they reacclimate to the world socially and emotionally. This funding will help The Barn keep its policy of never turning away a student who wants to participate in a program or event due to their inability to pay by supplementing operational costs which have been deeply impacted by the last two years.
