Susan Powell Fine Art is pleased to announce New England in Light, featuring thirty-five nationally acclaimed painters, from July 10 through August 15, 2026, at Susan Powell Fine Art, Madison, CT. The opening reception is Friday, July 10, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and many of the artists will be there to discuss their work.

On view are 75 paintings celebrating the beauty, distinctive light and atmosphere of the shoreline and the enduring appeal of New England. Subjects include rocky shorelines, salt marshes, beach scenes, lighthouses, sailboats, shorebirds, luminous landscapes, seascapes and night scenes. These paintings reflect moments that feel instantly familiar to anyone who has explored the Connecticut shoreline and New England. Each artist is known for a keen sensitivity to light and atmosphere, using subtle shifts in color and value to create a remarkable sense of place.
