Child, 9, Reported Missing At Hammonasset Found Safely: UPDATE

MADISON, CT — A child, 9, was found safely after being reported missing and possibly in the water at Hammonasset State Park on the 4th of July, according to media reports including NBC CT. Emergency responders from Madison, Guilford and Clinton along with the U.S. Coast Guard spent time searching for the girl.

The child was found safely on the shore around 5:15 p.m., the New Haven Register reports, and she has since been reunited with her family.
