MADISON, CT — The Ledges complex, a proposed seven-home development at 856 Boston Post Road in Madison, was recently denied by the Madison Planning and Zoning Commission, reversing an earlier decision that approved the project, the Shoreline Times reported.

At issue is the project's proposed septic system, and what environmental impact it could have.

The commission approved the project in 2021, but neighbors reportedly sued over the possible environmental impact that the septic system could have on the nearby Fence Creek tidal marsh and surrounding area.
