Coronavirus Madison: Pandemic Comedic Relief With 'Quarantunes'
Recorded at home in Madison, Lindsey Orlofsky's 'Quarantunes' will crack you up as she's sharing vital messages about staying safe and home.

MADISON, CT — You know the song that's the Red Sox anthem of sorts. (Yankee fan here but the times are tough so we roll with it.) Anyway, about "Sweet Caroline."
Lindsey Orlofsky is taking classic songs, like the aforementioned, and switching up the lyrics to at once lighten the mood, and share important messages about hand-washing and social distancing as we all cope with our new lives largely at home.
Lindsey has been sequestered at home in Madison for the past month. Her Tik-Tok, You Tube and Instagram videos are either just hilarious remakes of popular tunes with coronavirus-related lyrics, or, she's lost it.

Orlofsky, 29, is a creative director for a financial services and technology firm and a pizza lover, particularly New Haven pizza — "a critical source of joy during this time of quarantine."
She explained the inspiration for her "quarantunes."
"Like everyone, I’ve been overwhelmed with shock and sadness in the last few weeks," she told Patch. "And my sanity has surely been tested. To cope, I started turning some favorite tunes into 'quarantunes' and sharing them with family/friends to provide some laughs. They encouraged me to share them more broadly, which has led me to you! This type of content typically wouldn't live outside of my camera roll, but I figure everyone could use comedic relief right now."
Raise your hand if you need a laugh. We do.
"I made these music videos to try to provide some comedic relief for friends and family," she explained adding she really just wanted to share them"with anyone who needs a laugh right now."
In this TikTok video, Lindsey takes the classic "Sweet Caroline" and makes it her own - "Sweet Quarantine." It's a riot. (She cannot sing, by the way, but that's OK.)

"Hands, washing hands, Not reaching out. Not touching me. Not teaching you. Sweet quarantine, cough, cough, cough. Good times never seemed so weird. I've been inside, longer than I really should ..."
Then there's "Wash Wash Slide" (to tune of “Cha Cha Slide," by DJ Casper from back in the day.

Lindsey says, "Stay home. Stay safe. Start singing." Like instead of "Say My Name," from Destiny's Child, how about "Stay At Home." (Saved the most risque for last!)
