Daniel Hand High School Girls Tennis Wins State Championship!

The Daniel Hand High School Girls Tennis Team is the new CIAC Connecticut, Division M 2011 State Champs.

The team defeated Avon, a team previously undefeated with a 23-0 record, on Friday by the score of 5-2 at the Yale Tennis Center.

This is the First State Championship in girls tennis for DHHS. They defeated Wilton, RHAM and Darien to make it to the finals.

 Team members include

Singles – #1 -Taylor Fay - #2 – Rachel Petrini - #3 – Gabriella Diotalevi -#4 – Megan Sosensky

Doubles - #1 Callie Swiggett and Nicole Cahill #2 (co-captains) Laura Brink and Katherine Eastwood #3- Ayse Heckel and Claudia Lohn.
