Daniel Hand High School Show Choir, VIBE, Hosts Cabaret

The Daniel Hand High School Show Choir, VIBE, will hold their annual Cabaret on January 10, 2016. This event marks the debut of this year’s routine that VIBE will be performing during its competition season.
It will also include performances by Encore, DHHS contemporary acapella group. What is known today as VIBE Show Choir, actually began as a club in 1997 under the direction of Beckie Scattergood. VIBE became accredited in the year 2000 under the direction of Ron Soga, who remains its director.
With over 75 members, VIBE is a competitive song and dance choir that travels the Northeast and beyond to compete against some of the best show choirs in the nation. Currently VIBE Show Choir is ranked #1 in New England and #19 in the whole nation.

VIBE’s mission is to further students’ performing arts education and development through knowledge, technique and the expectation of excellence. Mr. Soja wants the kids to acquire the same passion for music that he had when he was a student.
Mr. Soja notes “Competition allows kids to push themselves to be the best they can be, they learn the value of hard work and of winning and losing” VIBE achieves this mission through the creation of competitive, entertaining and high quality performances in a positive, nurturing and team-oriented environment.

Cabaret performances are at Noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Lunch/Dinner will be served at each performance. Ticket price is $20.00 and can be bought at RJ Julia Bookstore.
