Elderly Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Car in Madison Stop & Shop Parking Lot: Police

BREAKING: Police say they are continuing to investigate the accident.

MADISON, CT — Police are investigating a serious accident which occurred in the Madison Stop & Shop parking lot Thursday afternoon, police said.

At 2:45 p.m. Thursday, the Madison Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call regarding an individual who was struck by a vehicle in the Madison Stop & Shop parking lot, said Capt. Joseph A. Race in a news release. The victim, an elderly female, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The driver of the motor vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.

The accident is currently being investigated by the South Central Regional Traffic Unit and members of the Madison Police Department. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at 203-245-2721.
