The Closer to Free Bike Ride on September 10, 2011 is the first of what will be an annual event in support of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven. This year's ride will take place on September 10, 2011 and will run through 12 towns along the scenic Connecticut coast and offer 100-mile and 25-mile options.
The ride will be fully-supported with food and water stops, as well as mechanical and medical assistance. Riders, volunteers and the public are invited to a celebration finale featuring refreshments and entertainment at the Yale Bowl Complex.
The proceeds of the Closer to Free bike ride will support the clinical programs at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven.
