Fans Greet UConn Men's Team At Bradley International Airport

Braving Cold Rain, Fans Welcome The NCAA Champs Home

About 100 people from across the state braved the cold and rain to welcome back the 2011 NCAA Champion University of Connecticut Men's Basketball team to Tuesday.

UConn beat the Butler Bulldogs Monday night 53-41 to win their third NCAA title.

As the plane came from out of the sky, the crowd cheered. A few minutes later, the plane was greeted by ceremonial water cannons from the Bradley fire department.

Coach Jim Calhoun said the team had just left 80-degree temperatures, but he's glad they're home.
