Is it my imagination, or are all Madison's marsh areas where the phragmites were cut down now a year or so ago now filled with phragmites that are taller, healthier and more dense than ever? How about it, environmentalists? The small inland wetland nearest me has only one small corner left where cattails continue to grow -- the rest of this small inland wetland is crammed with flourishing phragmites.
Is there a plan to save the formerly natural species of these area -- such as cattails, frogs, turtles, etc? Or a plan that will really reduce the phragmites?
