Hand Marine Science Students Get Their Feet Wet At West Wharf
Daniel Hand High School Marine Science & Technology students have been conducting ecosystem studies at West Wharf Beach for the past 2 weeks

MADISON, CT — Literally getting their feet wet, Daniel Hand High School Marine Science & Technology students have been conducting ecosystems studies at Madison’s West Wharf Beach over the past two weeks, the school noted on its website.
It's explained that the marine science students employed nets to "count wildlife in the area at varying tides."

"The study is part of the course’s unit focused on exploring local costal ecology including the rocky shore, sandy shore, estuaries and salt marsh," it's reported. "Field studies are conducted on each marine ecosystem to support student understanding of unit concepts. "
