Hand Student Artists' Work Featured At State Capitol

HARTFORD, CT — Daniel Hand High School artists were celebrated at the State Capitol. State Sen, Christine Cohen gave a shout-out to the students who created a series of portraits depicting the clients of Gilead Community Services.

Hand art teachers Suzanne Gaskell and Robert DelRusso and student-artists Rilly Stewart and Abigail Pritchard met with Cohen and shared their stories with her.

The agency in Middletown provides services, support and rehabilitation for those facing psychiatric, emotional or behavioral challenges.
