Helping Local Families In Need: Madison Police Food Drive Underway

MADISON, CT —The Madison Police Department’s annual Food Drive to benefit local families will be accepting donations now through Dec. 31.

The department is accepting non-perishable food donations, frozen turkeys and chickens, butter, bathroom tissue, detergent, shampoo, conditioner, bars of soap and toothpaste for families in need.

Non-perishable food suggestions: stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, peas, carrots and potatoes, canned fruit, tuna, stew, chili, ravioli, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, rice, pancake mix, boxed oats, syrup, cereal, kids juice boxes and snack pouches,

All food items, including frozen turkeys, frozen chickens and personal hygiene items may be dropped off at the Madison Police Department located at 9 Campus Drive 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
