Inland Wetlands OK'd Draft Resolution On Cottage Rd Apartment Complex
Next stop is the Madison Planning and Zoning Commission for its study, and possible decision on the 18-unit complex.

MADISON, CT — With two abstentions, the Madison Island Wetlands and Watercourses Agency, voted 3-0 to bless the Cottage and Mill Apartments proposal Monday. The measure now heads to the town Planning and Zoning Commission for approval.
The plan for the site is to redevelop it as a multifamily development. The first public hearing, slated for Dec. 6, 2021, as continued to January and then to February and then ultimately was held on March 7. And that’s when the agency began its deliberations.
The agency's role was to examine the developer's plan "for native plantings and a stormwater management system would likely improve the water quality of the pond," according to the meeting broadcast on YouTube and a CT Examiner story.
