It's Official! Connecticut's Bass Is Biggest!

Earlier this week, the International Game Fish Association certifies an 81 pound, 14 ounce heavyweight from Connecticut angler Greg Myerson. Way to go Greg!

This fish tale is true — officially.

Greg Myerson's massive striped bass catch this summer, which clocked in at 81 pounds 14 ounces, has beat the existing record of 78 pounds 8 ounces, which was set by Al McReynolds on Sept. 21, 1982, while fishing off Atlantic City, NJ.

The International Game Fish Association approved the passing of the torch this week.
