"Lord, Rekindle in Me Your Joy".

When someone we love dies, we seem to lose much of the joy in our lives. It is difficult to see beyond our sorrow. We wonder if we will ever be able to enjoy the simple things that once made us happy and content. This day, come together for prayer, reflection, quiet time and sharing in an atmosphere of peace and quiet, where we can explore together ways in which God can rekindle in us the joy that was once ours. The day will close with a special prayer service in honor of our deceased loved ones. Fee includes program and lunch.

Mauryeen O’Brien, O.P. is a Dominican Sister of Peace. She is the former Director of Bereaved and Divorced ministries for the Archdiocese of Hartford, CT. Sr. Mauryeen is a retreat director and is certified as a grief counselor. She is a support group facilitator trainer, and has authored several books on bereavement.
