Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and we share with you some of the information you'll need to know.

The municipal election in Madison is on Tuesday, Nov. 3 and it features Republican challenger Tom Banisch against Democratic challenger Joan Walker. Incumbent GOP First Selectman Fillmore McPherson decided against seeking reelection.

In their own words the candidates explain why they feel they have earned your vote.

Banisch said in his profile piece, “It’s important to give back and to give of yourself to others,” Banisch said. “That’s what I want people to know. I care about the people of this town, and I care for this town. I put my heart and soul into everything I do.”

Walker in her profile piece said, “We need to have a senior tax freeze. We need to allow and give our seniors a chance to remain in their house until they decide to leave. They can’t be forced out.”
