Madison Beach & Rec Lifeguard Gig Open, Pays Up To $19 An Hour
Applicants must be at least 16, with a year of experience preferred, be CPR/first aid and Red Cross Lifeguard & Waterfront certified.

MADISON, CT — With Friday's late spring-like gorgeous weather, it wasn't hard to imagine being at the beach, or pool. Madison is getting ready, too.
The town's Beach & Rec department has an open lifeguard position. The seasonal post pays from $16 to $19 an hour. Work begins in May.

Lifeguards are "directly responsible for the personal safety of all patrons while in the Town Park," the listing reads and enforces all rules and regulations of the park. The person is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment at the Town Park when not on duty.

- Red Cross Lifeguard & Waterfront Certification required
- CPR & First Aid Certification required
- Current certifications must be submitted with application
- Must be at least (16) years old
- 1-year experience as a lifeguard preferred
- Must be able to work weekends beginning Memorial Day through June, and then daily through Labor day
