Madison Board of Selectmen Member Resigns: Report
A new member will be appointed by the town committee.

MADISON, CT — Democratic Board of Selectmen member and former First Selectman candidate Joan Walker announced she is resigning from the board, reports the Madison Source.
Walker cited personal reasons for the decision and a desire and need to spend more time with her family. She indicated she plans to return to politics at a later time. She thanked all of the selectmen for their hard work they put in to help the town and its residents.
The Democratic Town Committee will select Walker's replacement, the Source reports. Walker said now is the right time to step aside as the budget season is just about to begin, which is a several month process.
