In this new series, Patch features Madison community members who make a difference in the lives of residents.

In this new series, Patch features outstanding members of the community that go above and beyond to give them the recognition they deserve.
Today we feature Nancy Addorisio, a local teacher who has made a difference, sent in by Antonella Bacchiocchi.
Who is your favorite teacher?
Nancy Addorisio.
Where does she teach?
Mrs. Addorisio teaches middle school Social Studies at Our Lady of Mercy in Madison.
Why is she your favorite?
She is an amazing teacher, and goes behind her duty as a teacher to enrich our children’s lives. Mrs. Addorisio also runs the Mock Trial competition and she is the director for the 8th grade play. Mrs. A, as we call her, is totally dedicated to our children and we are very fortunate to have her. She installs in our children a sense of pride and commitment that I have never seen in any other teacher.
She teaches them not only history but also about our legal system and how to put together a play and having fun doing it with your classmates. She is always very positive and she truly loves her job.We often forget to appreciate these hard working people that get to spend a lot of time with our children. This is my simple way of saying thank you Mrs. A for all they you do.
