Madison Residents: Free Taxi Rides To Get COVID-19 Vaccine
The Estuary Transit District is offering free transportation to get a COVID-19 vaccine, and testing, for many towns, including Madison.
MADISON, CT —The Estuary Transit District is offering free transportation to get a COVID-19 vaccine for a number of towns including Madison.
The Curtin Transportation taxi rides paid for by Estuary Transit. Trips to get a COVID vaccine must begin in Madison or one of these other towns: Clinton, Chester, Deep River, Essex, East Haddam, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. The vaccine location must be in one of these towns as well as Middletown or Guilford.

Book a trip by calling the taxi provider, Curtin Transportation, at 860-443-1655. Reservations may be made between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at least one day in advance.
The vehicle will provide wait and return service, and can be used for drive through vaccination sites. A wheelchair accessible vehicle will be provided upon request.

Attendants/Companions
Up to three companions, including a Personal Care Attendant, may ride for free with the eligible rider. The eligible rider and companions must have the same origin and destination.
COVID Precautions
All riders are required to wear a mask. The vehicles are equipped with front to back protection barriers. After each ride, the vehicle is wiped down with disinfectant wipes.
There are also free trips for COVID testing with the same protocols.
