Madison Schools Superintendent Shares Important Dates

Dear Friends:

The 2015-2016 school year is off to a successful start and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and partnership. Community participation in our school district is welcomed and contributes to the success of our students.

With the continued forecast of summer temperatures, this is a reminder to please be sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather and is encouraged to bring a water bottle. We will continue to make choices at each building level to keep your child’s safety and welfare at the forefront of our decisions.

Bring your lunch and topics that you would like to discuss

Please also mark your calendars with two upcoming public forums to discuss the long-term school facilities utilization study, conducted by the architectural firm of Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc. (“DRA”), which will be held October 19th at Brown Middle School and November 9th at Island Elementary, both beginning at 7:00 p.m. Further information will be forthcoming.

A friendly reminder, per my E-Notify of August 26th, if you do not want your child photographed or videotaped, would like to receive notification of pesticide application and / or do not want your child’s directory information released to parent / teacher organizations for student directories and news media for awards / recognitions or to military recruiters, please visit our website and complete the appropriate form listed below by October 1, 2015:
