Madison Woman, 52, Killed In Vermont Snowmobile Crash: Police
Jody Catalano, a Madison mother of three, was killed when the snowmobile she was operating in Vermont Wednesday struck a tree.

MADISON, CT — Jody Catalano, 52, a Madison mother of three, was killed when the snowmobile she was operating in Vermont Wednesday struck a tree, according to Vermont State Police.
A GoFundMe was created by Katie Stein to help her family.
According to state police, Catalano was "traveling at approximately 20 miles an hour, when she went off the trail." Catalano, who was wearing a helmet, was “pronounced dead at the scene of the crash."

Stein wrote in the GoFundMe appeal, which has raised nearly $20,000 in less than a day, that Catalano was a "friend and neighbor" and a "beautiful, kind, and caring soul, a devoted mother, wife to Mike, friend, and a fierce advocate and worker for the Sarah Foundation and those with special needs."
Catalano could often be found, Stein wrote, cheering on her children at "cheerleading competitions, baseball games and wrestling matches."

"We know there is no way to take their pain away, but we want to be there for the Catalano family in any way we can, and so today I ask that we all come together as friends, relatives and neighbors to take some of the weight of this tragedy off their shoulders," Stein wrote.
"Anything you can give to this fund will go directly to the Catalano family to assist in covering funeral expenses, flowers, meals and further support for the family," the GoFundMe reads.
A MealTrain account has also been created for the Catalano family. MealTrain allows friends and neighbors to donate so that meals are delivered to families in need, and during difficult times.
Catalano is originally from Southington, according to her Facebook page.
