MADISON, CT — Madison's Mac Bohonnon suffered a hard landing on one of his jumps Saturday in the men's aerials competition and he did not qualify for the finals, NBC Connecticut reports. He finished outside of the top 12.
He did execute a nearly perfect second jump but it wasn't enough to advance. According to the Team USA site, Bohonnon was born in New Haven and his hometown is Madison. This is his second Olympics and in 2014 he was named FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year. In 2015, he finished first in aerials and second overall.
According to his Team USA profile he "began skiing when he was 18 months old...Hobbies include collecting records, mountain biking, fly fishing, and golfing."
