Madison's Use of Online Surveying Tool Helps Gauge Public Opinion

The town has used the tool twice to allow resident to voice their opinion.

The town of Madison has been using the online surveying tool, Survey Monkey to its advantage, Jack Kramer reports from The Source.

According to the paper, Madison used the tool for the first time to decide what to name Salt Meadow Park. More recently, the town used the tool so residents could express whether food trucks belonged in Madison and at what location.

The decision to allow the food trucks back at their original School Street location was a positive for the food trucks as 87 percent of respondents favored having the trucks at that location. It worked in favor of the vendors too as they complained that business had been suffering after they were moved from the School Street location.
