Missed July 1 Tax Installment? You Have Until Aug. 1 To Pay Sans Penalty

MADISON, CT — The town is reminding folks that the first installment of tax on the 2021 Grand List was due July 1. And, the last day to pay the July 1, 2022 installment without penalty is August 1, 2022, as long as it's postmarked by the USPS. As long as that postmark is there, taxpayers can avoid interest, per state law.

Pay in person at the tax office Monday to Wednesday 8:30 to 4:30, Thursday 8:30 to 6:30, and Friday 8:30to noon.
