More Reported Coronavirus Cases In Madison Schools, District Says

Superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke announced that over the weekend, several more COVID-19 cases were reported in middle and high schools.

MADISON, CT — The school district coronavirus case tracker was updated last week, but since, schools Superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke said Tuesday, an additional three cases have been reported; another at Polson Middle School and new cases at Daniel Hand High School.

It's not clear if the new cases are of students or staff.

As of last Friday, there were four active cases at Polson and two at the high school.

Cooke said the students "directly impacted by this temporary shift to remote learning have already been contacted by a school administrator." He also notes that the school district and department of health "feel confident both Polson Middle School and Daniel Hand High School can remain open."
