Obituary: Dorothy (Dudy) Meyer Blaha, 95, Formerly of Madison

She is remembered for her generous and outgoing spirit, as well as her infectious sense of humor.

Dorothy (Dudy) Meyer Blaha; 95 passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Killingworth. She was born in Madison on February 25, 1923 to Augusta and Minnie (Zimmerman) Meyer. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Blaha Jr. She leaves her daughter and son-in law Susan and Don Fruhwald , son and daughter-in law Joseph (Ted) and Lauren Blaha all of Killingworth.

She was a loving and caring Gram to 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her sisters Anna Frick and Margaret Peterson. Dudy grew up in Madison, married Joe Christmas Day 1942, together they worked running Post Road Wood Products and traveled around the world and the United States. She is remembered for her generous and outgoing spirit, as well as her infectious sense of humor. She shone in every aspect of her long and fruitful life, and will be greatly missed by her family.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Guilford Meals on Wheels, Sachem Hollow, 310 State St, # 200, Guilford, CT 06437 or the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department 333, Rt. 81, Killingworth, CT 06419.
