He serviced in the U.S. Air Force and was a proud member of the Madison American Legion Post 79.

Douglas H. John, 77, of Madison, Ct., passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, the son the late Henry and Barbara (Clark) John. He leaves his beloved wife, Regina Moleske John, a son ,Bradford John of Wallingford, CT; a step-son, Joseph Peterson and his wife Beverly of Hastings, FL; step-daughters, Gina Lewis and her husband Jeffrey of Gardiner, ME; and Terry Esposito and her husband David of Jacksonville, FL, Nine grandchildren; Joshua Lewis, Rebecca Pastore, Peter Lewis, Benjamin Lewis, Mary Lewis, Chase Lawless, Christian Esposito, Charli Esposito, Oscar John and seven great-grandchildren; Anthony, Nikolas, Chiara and Francesco Pastore; Alex, Savannah, Elijah Lawless. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis W. John.

He serviced in the U.S. Air Force and was a proud member of the Madison American Legion Post 79. Before retiring, He worked for the Atlantic Trucking Co. of Branford, CT. Friends are invited to a Military graveside service at St. Agnes Cemetery, 295 East Main St, Branford on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post # 79, PO Box 504, Madison, CT 06443.
