Obituary: Eleanor Ann McCarthy, of Guilford
Eleanor retired from the Town Of Madison Building Department after 30 years of service.

Eleanor Ann McCarthy, of Guilford, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2017. She was born on June 28, 1946, in New Haven, the daughter of the late Warren and Elena Richmond. She grew up in North Branford and was a graduate of North Haven High School. Eleanor is survived by her children James "Jay" McCarthy and his wife Anne, and Megan McCarthy (Howard Finkel), all of Madison; her sister Beverly Richmond and her husband James Gencarelli of Fort Lee, New Jersey.
She is also leaves behind her three grandchildren Anastasia, Jack & Patrick who brought her so much joy and laughter every day. Eleanor retired from the Town Of Madison Building Department after 30 years of service. Eleanor was a gentle person, who was kind to everyone she met.
