Obituary: George H. Roche, 76, of Madison
A former longtime Madison police officer, George served honorably in the US Air Force. He enjoyed travel, cooking and time with family.
Thursday, January 7, 2021 George H. Roche longtime resident of Madison passed away at his home. Husband of the late Kathleen (Franco) Roche. Mr. Roche was born in New Haven on November 18, 1944, son of the late George H Roche Sr and Mary Manniel Roche. Loving father of Gerald Roche and Lauren of Madison and Christopher Roche of LaVergne, Tennessee.
He is also survived by Parker Kathleen and Riley Oliva Roche grandchildren, extended family members and several nieces and nephews. Brother of Judith Chiburis and (Richard) of Houston, TX and brother-in-law of Robert and Mary Jean Franco of Clinton, CT.

George honorably served his country in the Air Force. Before retirement he had worked as policeman in Madison for 35 years. He enjoyed living life to the fullest. He loved to travel and cruise around the world with Kathy and his friends. His favorite places to frequent were Newport, RI and the Pavilion and Roche’s. He enjoyed many afternoons at the table with his friends drinking wine and playing setback. George always had great stories and enjoyed cooking his specialty dishes for his family and friends. He loved being able to watch his beloved granddaughters Parky and Ry Ry playing and engaging in daily conversations with his son Jerry and daughter-in-law, Lauren. George was so proud of his family.
