Obituary: Joseph T. Harmuth, 64, of Madison

Joseph T. Harmuth, 64, of Madison, Ct. , beloved husband of Maryanne, and adored father of John and Elizabeth, died on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family, after suffering a stroke that day.

In addition to his wife and children, Joe is survived by his mother, Rita Harmuth Canning, his brothers, David and Bill (Yoly), his sister Holly Clement (Steve), and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph T. Harmuth, Jr. He graduated from Brunswick High School, Greenwich, Ct., and Tulane University, New Orleans, La, with a degree in mechanical engineering.

He spent his career working in the medical and telecommunications technology fields, most recently at Radio Frequency Systems of Meriden, Ct.

Visiting hours at Swan Funeral Home at 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, Ct., are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30. There will be a mass to celebrate his life at St Margaret's Church, 24 Academy St., Madison Ct., at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, followed by burial at West Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Madison, Ct.
