Obituary: Kenneth R. Nye, 79, of Madison
Loving "Poppy" to 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, he was a volunteer coach and served as a board member for several charities.

Kenneth R. Nye, 79, of Madison passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on July 21, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1942, in Clifton Springs, NY to the late Chester and Frances Nye. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marcia Loudon Nye, his sons Peter (Amy) of GA, Timothy (Cheryl) of VA, and Daughters Sarah Hartman (Timothy) of NH and, Ashley Abraham (Matthew) of GA.
Kenneth was the loving “Poppy” to 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was also the proud ABC Father to Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Joshua Kissoon of FL. Lastly, He is survived by his sister Deborah Plane (Steve) and two Nephews.

Ken was a graduate of Hobart College and spent a successful career in the Banking industry. He was an active volunteer coach as well as serving on the boards of several charitable organizations. He loved being surrounded by the love and laughter of his Family and his many Friends. He left a lasting impression of a respected Gentleman.
A celebration of his life will be held at the First Congregational Church of Madison, 26 Meeting House Ln, Madison, on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 11 A.M.
