Leona C. Huminski, 96, of Madison passed away June 25 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA June 9, 1921 the daughter of the late Walter & Julia Kryzminski. She was the wife of the late Edmund A. Huminski.

She attended and graduated high school in Pittsburgh, PA also studying and working as a hair dresser before dedicating her life as a Mother and Housewife. She is survived by her five children, Joyce Mastrachio of Clinton, Nancy J. Hartzell and life partner Roland Ferrera of Madison, Kenneth Huminski and partner Peggy Schoen of Madison, Barry Huminski of Cheshire, Michael Huminski of Madison and loved daughter-in-law Peggy Huminski of Madison.

She is also survived by her eight Grandchildren Louis Mastrachio, Luann (Mastrachio) Carbone, Jessica (Hartzell) Neligon, Timothy Huminski, Eric Huminski, Emily Huminski, Michael Huminski and Mark Huminski. She is also survived by her eleven Great Grandchildren Jeffrey Carbone, Jamie Carbone, Daniel Carbone, Heather Huminski, Edmund Huminski, Mary Huminski, Noah Huminski and Eric Huminski.

Leona was fortunate in living such a long and loving life while constantly caring for and being involved in family. "Our Father has waited a long time to hold her again in heaven, but now they are together for all of eternity."
