Margaret C. Pfister, 100, of Madison, CT and a long time resident of White Plains, NY, beloved wife of the late Lewis M. Pfister, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 19, 2017 at Essex Meadows Health Care. Born in Lockport, NY on May 7, 1917, she was the daughter of the late NY State Sen. William W. and Mary E. Garner Campbell. Margaret was a graduate of Vassar College Class of 1938. She was an active member in the Woman's Club of White Plains.

She enjoyed following politics, current events and was very knowledgeable about economics and finances. Margaret was the "family financial planner". Most of all she loved being the mother of 9 children and a devoted wife.

Survivors include her children, Lewis Mark Pfister Jr. (Joyce) of Toano, VA, William C. Pfister (Sally) of Mobile AL, August Andrew Pfister (Suzanne) of West Chester, OH, Peter L. Pfister (Jen) of Plainsboro, NJ, Mary G. Pfister (Cosmo Catalano) of Williamstown, MA, Margaret P. Carbajal (Noe) of Houston, TX, Cecilia J. Pfister of Madison, CT, Joseph A. Pfister (Rozanne) of Westford, MA and Katherine Spence (Jerry) of Houston, TX. 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a nephew Rick Campbell and 2 nieces, Patricia Richardson and Sandie Campbell.

Margaret was predeceased by siblings William W. Campbell Jr., Jane C. Blimm and her great great granddaughter Reagan Elizabeth Werner Krause. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Margaret Church, which coincidently would have been her 79th Wedding Anniversary to Lewis at this very Church. 24 Academy St., Madison, CT.
