Obituary: Roland A. DuBois, 81, of Madison

Roland A. DuBois born in Tappan, N.Y. died at Yale hospital on July 20th at age 81 after a short illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andre DuBois of Horse Pond Rd. Madison Ct. He was a graduate of Daniel Hand High School, afterwards enlisted in the navy and was based at Quonset Point Rhode Island.

He was one of the top ten graduates of his class at the Naval Aviation School in Norman, Okla. He was on the USS Lake Champlain navy carrier when it retrieved astronaut Alan Shepard's rocket capsule. He was a retired employee of the IBM corp. He is survived by a son Bruce DuBois of Fishkill N.Y., a daughter Danielle DuBois of Hyde Park N.Y. and his former wife of Fishkill N.Y.
