Old is New!

Old is New!  I love using things from the past. Check out this picture (from New England Home Magazine).  Most people would probably throw out this piece of metal as junk. Yet, with a little imagination you have a unique and interesting piece!

Do you have something old and not sure what to do with it? Put your thinking cap on as to how you can alter it and re-use! The piece above just added the top - I like that they left the iron as is - however you could also paint it.  If you want to check out a local (CT) place that takes old and makes it new, look at https://www.facebook.com/Greenology.RepurposedbyDesign.  They have some great ideas!

Let me know what you find in your home and what you end up doing! Remember re-using is very "green" as well as imaginative and fun! j
