• Middletown football's 'Speedy' Smith does it all, and his goal is clear: 'State or bust' (greenwichtime.com) — A recent four-team football scrimmage at Hand High in Madison showcased Middletown senior Brendin "Speedy" Smith, who played multiple positions, scored through the air and on the ground, and even handled punting duties. Smith and his coach say the Blue Dragons are aiming beyond just making the playoffs this year, with a clear goal of winning a state championship.
